App privacy
This notice covers the NervTrack prototype as it exists today: a single-user build whose only user is NervTrack’s developer. With that developer’s authorisation, it reads their WHOOP data and stores it on their own machine. No other person’s data is read, and no one else can use it. This page describes how the prototype handles data, not a planned product. It will be rewritten before any app ships to anyone else.
What it reads
WHOOP recovery data, through WHOOP’s API, using the “read:recovery” scope — and only with the developer’s authorisation. Nothing is read without it.
What it stores
Heart-rate variability values, resting heart rate, sleep identifiers — the WHOOP identifier for the sleep each reading belongs to — and timestamps. WHOOP’s own recovery score arrives in the response and is discarded. It is never stored, never reproduced, and never displayed.
What it is used for
Building and testing the software. The stored values are read back on the developer’s own machine to check that the software records them correctly. They are not shared with anyone, not sold, not used for advertising, and not sent anywhere.
Where it is stored
In a local database file on the developer’s own machine. No server, no cloud service, no third party receives it.
Who has access
The developer only — the same person whose data it is.
How long it is kept
Until the developer deletes it.
How to revoke
Disconnect NervTrack in the WHOOP account, and delete the local database file. Disconnecting stops all further reading.
